Wiley CPAexcel Exam Review April 2017 Study Guide: Financial Accounting and Reporting

Looks like Wiley decided to let go of the previous author for these CPA books which was much needed. Contents are much more organized and very similar to how Becker presents its materials.UPDATE REVIEW 5/9/2017:After going through more than half the book. The reading material is much better than previous editions - very easy to understand and presents the material very well. HOWEVER, the multiple choice and simulation answers are lacking in explanation for the incorrect answers. I find the 2016 version did an excellent job in going through the wrong/right answers. The 2017 version only explains the correct answers, which they do in a very concise manner. The authors definitely did an excellent job with the 2017 version.

I ordered these notes to supplement the Wiley CPA review course. Depending on your learning style, you may find these notes useful. For me, they were OK. I tend to work better with my own flash cards to learn concepts, so (so far) I've rarely referenced these notes.

Only use this if you need to refresh on items you've already studied from the full text. These notes alone will not help you grasp the materials and the layout if you purchase the e-copy is horrible. The full blown text book is your best bet.

The book is to thick and heavy. I used another book as reviewer.

nearly impossible to comprehend charts and examples in the kindle version. Don't bother with it.

always a pleasure to have the most updated version. Just noted, 2018's does not have questions.
