Morgan Products Lap Stand Combo 7" And 9" Hoops

Well made
Versatile, well made. Snaps together easily. I love that it has two sizes of hoops and you can use it either way. You can use the hoops without the frame too. This was a good purchase.

It's better than having an extra hand! Excellent product!
This is one of those products that after first use, you hit yourself in the forehead and ask "Why couldn't I have thought of this?" Easy to set fabric, outer hoop holds very well. I can do cross stitch almost twice as fast because my non-needle hand can control the underneath thread. And I can work much longer as I no longer get hand fatigue from grasping and holding a hoop. I don't use this product in my lap, I set it on a TV tray set at it's lowest level. That let's me swing the arm of my magnifying lamp over the hoop when I am doing small gauge work. To keep it from sliding around the tray, I just use a 2 pound bag of rice draped over the hoop that sets on the tray. It's just the right weight and size to keep it from sliding until I want it to.I have abandoned my scroll stand in favor of Morgan Hoop. It is so easy to just flip the hoop over to secure end of one thread or beginning of another. I could kick myself in the butt for not getting this sooner!

Best hoop I’ve ever used
I’ve tried so many hoops but couldn’t find one that held the fabric tight and was also easy to insert the fabric into. This hoop blows all the others away, holds the fabric super tight with little effort. The stand really reduces the soreness I was getting in my hand that was holding the hoop previously. But even if you don’t use the stand (the hoops separate and can be used by themselves) it’s still totally worth it.

Good tool for the price
This stand definitely makes needlepoint and cross stitch a lot easier than just using a single hoop! The only complaint I have is that the nut and bolt mechanism is not the best, the bolt head comes out of the indentation made for it and it is a little annoying to get back in. Other than that it is definitely a worthwhile hoop for the price. It is also easy to put together and take apart to travel with.

Game changer
I've been cross stitching since my age was in the single digits; over 40 now. I'd never heard of this invention til this year and it has been a game changer! It's so much easier to stitch using this, the way it holds the hoop up for you. I can't say whether it's increased my speed (though I wouldn't be surprised if it has) but it improves the experience by reducing frustration, and that’s good enough for me. It does have an iron-clad grip on the fabric, too, which has its downsides but is a glorious thing for the most part. Just get it!!

Great design concept that actually works!
I've been stitching for many years, having tried all sorts of hoops, scrolls, and stands in an effort to get the best tension and ease of use for my projects. By far, this hoop combo has out-shined all others! If you want to enjoy stitching without the extra effort of holding the hoop in one hand while stitching with the other, this is for you! It's not very useful if you like stitching on the go - but even then, the hoops come apart and can be used individually as traditional hoops. However, the fabric locks in place much better with these hoops than any that I've tried. The only one that comes close is Clover embroidery stitching hoops (yellow hoop with green mechanism cover). But those hoops don't offer the versatility of also being a lap stand. I highly recommend this hoop!

Sturdy, Easy to assemble
I needed a hoop to hold my needlework. My fingers are stiff and can't hold hoops anymore.

Perfect for my punch needle projects!
I just picked up needle punching and love it but wanted something that stood on its own to work on; this double hoop is perfect! The hoops are pretty nonslip and it's easy to tighten. The hoops themselves are removable and you can travel or just work on a project with a single hoop as well. They recommend putting some fabric in the opposite side when you're working to help keep things tight. I've been doing those with no problems.I set this beside me while I work and you could also sit it on your lap worth no fears of poking yourself. So happy I have added this to my hobby supplies, it's got me more excited to work on future projects.!(^o^)!
