Overall this is a great book on grief. Some of the things need to be updated for teens, since small things here and there are written for younger kids

This will help me in when planning teen grief groups. Some parts very repetitive. I look forward to using some of the activities in the very near future!

I'm an art therapist specializing in trauma, grief and loss and have been using this text for a closed group with adolescent girls. I incorporate many of my own art therapy directives, but also use a lot of the curriculum's suggested art directives with my groups with great success. The girls provide feedback that it is one of their most helpful and beneficial groups in treatment. They are engaged, involved, and discuss openly. Of course, much depends on the group dynamic, however, this text provides great structure and a great "backbone" that I can mold and modify to suit changing groups. A very helpful guide and a great purchase, especially if you have some AT background - I would highly recommend it.

This curriculum is helpful for those of us working in the field of grief and loss. It's a difficult area and one in which information that is relavent to teens is fairly scarce. Great suggestions and activities that teens can relate to.

I work in grief support for kids - K - 12th. This is a great resource for projects. Has many ideas for you to choose from.
