Does its job, but seems kind of...obvious. like, I felt silly when I got it because I could have made this myself. I thought it was going to be more significant but it is literally just a jar with a sponge. It works, but I thought it would be...more somehow. I guess that's my bad and they really did just keep it simple.Also, the warning label makes me nervous. May cause cancer and banned in California? Eek

For someone who loves playing with eyeshadow, this is a great tool for switching colors on eye brushes. I didn't want to pay $18 for the Vera Mona Color Switch from Sephora since that's absurdly expensive so I got this instead. To be honest it looks and seems to work just the same as the Color Switch; it removed the color off the brush. It's reusable, easy to clean, and doesn't damage your brushes. Just don't expect it to *completely* remove all eyeshadow colors, specifically darker colors cause those tend to be more pigmented and harder to remove generally. Not a real con really. It's just meant to get majority of the color off. Despite just that minor note, it's totally a great buy.

I ordered this because it was all the rage on a site I regularly visit. So far, I see the discoloration from the powders that I clean from my brushes with it, but upon closer inspection, I realized it leaves a lot behind as well. If you just want a quick wipe to change to another color, then I think it works fine, but if you wet the brush after cleaning, and wipe it in a white towel or tissue, you will see residual color and power. It also does not come with instructions, so I do not know if it is cleanable (as in...can it be rinsed and reused or does it need to be tossed? And, when it is ready for replacement?).

I never knew I needed this until I had it! Great for cleaning makeup brushes between colors. I like that I can just quickly run my brush across the sponge to clean off excess powder between colors. This makes for cleaner colors when I apply eye shadow both on the pallet and on my eyelids. The first time I took the sponge out to clean after about a month of use I couldn't believe how much excess powder was in the bottom of the tin.Easy to clean, easy to use, great little buy.

What a joke. Rubber like sponge that sits in a cheap metal tin. Doesn’t clean anything. I would say maybe a light colored eyeshadow powder but don’t count on it cleaning blush or something. No thank you. It was returned for poor product.

Arrived quickly in perfect condition with an extra sponge. The sponge fits securely into the tin. It cannot fall out, it's tightly in there. It doesn't move around at all while moving the brush around in it. The sponge is thick & very firm. The sponge & tin don't feel cheap. Well made. You need this!! I only wish I knew about this sooner!! It truly is genius!

This removes eyeshadow from the brush as advertised!All I have to do is brush the brush against the material and I can see it the eyeshadow come off. It doesn't appear to damage the brushes either. This is nifty for traveling, as well as when you want to use the same brush for a different eyeshadow shade but don't want to use another brush quite yet.I use baby shampoo and water to clean mine.

Makes my life a little easier in that I can use the same brush for multiple colors on a look. It doesn't replace regular cleaning as it doesn't fully remove the color, but enough that it doesn't mix with my next.Also, kinda feel like it leaves my brushes with a weird residue type feeling on them.. but that might just be me.Came in perfect condition with an extra sponge to boot!Overall it works well.

It works! I am surprised but it does work. I clean off both large and small brushes with this sponge. Just a few swirls of your brush on the sponge and the powder comes off. I still properly wash my makeup brushes every week but this is great to be able to use the same brushes in different shades until you can wash them. I've heard that you can make a DIY of this product but for only a few dollars just buy this. I use both sides of the sponge before I wash it so it lasts even longer, you just flip the sponge over. When you want to wash it just wash in water with a gentle cleanser. Works great!
