Accurate, Responsive, Durable
I use this for my car's outside air temperature gage (the car doesn't have an OEM one). I used lamp cord to extend the sensor wire so I could get the sensor to the front of the car. It's a sensitive thermometer, so initially I would get major fluctuations (10°F or more) sitting at stop lights when heat would build up under the car. So I potted the sensor inside a short piece of thick-walled stainless steel tube with silicone, and this keeps the temperatures much more stable (2°F). I have had this installed now for nearly 4 years with no issues. I initially did an ice-bath test to measure it's accuracy, and it was within a degree of expected. I power it with a USB adapter in my cigarette lighter plug, and it's attached with Velcro tape to the dash (photos).

Good enough
Was looking for a digital Thermometer for when I soon evacuate & recharge my vehicles A/C. Wanted a Probe model to insert into diffuser. This should do well. Tested against two other Thermometers with less than 1°F diff. ( see pix). So, the probe is sensitive enough where Temp. changes very quickly,( with 1/10 of a deg), however, it took a few min. for the final actual temp. to display. Another reviewer stated an " old school" trick is to remove the F/ C jumper then place bk at a 90° angle to one pin so as not to loose the jumper. Don't do that, as it won't fit, because hole there, not Lg enough. USB pwr supply just fine as vehicle has that. No batteries to ever worry about. Unit powers On/Off with USB connector.

A cool little digital thermometer for not a lot of $$$
PROS:o Inexpensiveo Unique graphical display to see relative temperature at a glanceo Can display in Fahrenheit or Centigradeo USB powered, no batteries to run down/replaceCONS:None for meWanted a small, easy to read digital thermometer with wired probe to use in fridge and/or possibly a warming box I have been using to reliquify honey and will likely use to proof dough. This will work very nicely for those purposes. I will admit that the graphical scale really adds nothing to the readability or accuracy of the thermometer, but it does give it more "eye appeal" IMHO. One suggestion: If you wish to change the unit from C to F, you have to remove a jumper on the back of the case; it is a VERY tiny jumper and the first thing that one wonders is, "How do I keep track of this jumper in case I ever want it?". I used an old trick that we used "back in the day" when configuring jumpers on PCBs: Turn the jumper perpendicular to its original orientation and plug one side of it back onto JUST ONE of the two pins that it originally connected. Viola, you have a handy way to keep the jumper right with the unit!

Bought two and they don't measure the same temps...
Note to seller, I'd quality assurance check these before you ship.PRO:1. Lit display, easy for my old man eyes to read.2. Can get rid of the thermometer hanging on the glass in my fish tank, so it looks less cluttered.3. Provides a tiny bit of night light effect.4. Probe cord is black, so it does not stand out, and make the tank looked cluttered.5. Silent. I had a thermometer that would beep if above or below a level, boy that was anoying.CON:1. No wall adapter. My bad, should have thought of that.2. Other reviews that state it dies after a few months use. I hope I don't get a dud.3. Cord length is limited for both power and probe, but I have a USB extension cable I can use.OTHER:1. Can be used in many applications.2. Has COLOR, and works well.3. Like others have said, I got two and they are 1.1 degrees off from one another. Not a game changer, but keep that in mind. I use in my fish tanks and I need a close estimate.

Works well on my motorcycle
I installed this on my motorcycle so I can know the ambient temperature. The display is easy to read in all lighting conditions except when the sun is shining directly on it, so choose a mounting location accordingly. Also, the sensor has a very quick response time. This makes finding a suitable mounting location for it important. So far I haven't found the ideal location; when I come to a stop, heat from the engine causes the displayed temperature to slowly rise. Once I start moving and ambient air is once again flowing over the sensor the displayed temperature drops back to the correct value. The 3 foot sensor cable makes it pretty easy to try different mounting locations. For power I just cut off the USB plug and wired the power cord directly to a switched 12V wire on the bike, so the thermometer is powered only when the bike's ignition is on.I've mounted the display unit in a location that is not protected from rain. I've not been riding in the rain since installing it so I don't know how well it will do. Once I have some wet weather experience with it I'll update this review.

Very bright readable display.
The display is very bright and easily read. The temp range is a bit broad for automobile cabin use, but could be very useful for tracking under hood temps. The sensor cord is a bit long for my specific needs but I suppose that makes it more versatile for other needs. It comes set to Celsius, you need to remove the back jumper to get the Fahrenheit scale. Another useful item to go with it would be some 1" Velcro tape to mount it.

Quick responce to rapid temp change
This device is really neat. Bright backlight for use outside.( In the car for me) The sensor probe is really long so you can place it exactly where you want it. The device is also pretty quick to adjust the reading for a rapid temp change. I use it to monitor the effectiveness of the A/C in my car and it drops pretty quick whenever I turn the A/C on. It is also USB powered instead of battery powered. No need to worry about batteries dying.

Thermometer
Unit works well but it is advertised to have a 1 meter cord which is roughly 39 inches. The one I received was only 22 inches. I was not able to put it where I had planned and now have cords hanging where I don't want them.
