Try another brand of you want them to last more then 3 weeks
I hate giving bad reviews. I really do, but even more so I hate buying products that don't live up to their word. Ankle weights should challenge you and make you stronger not slowly leak it's weight while your working out, kind of defeating their purpose. Sadly that's just what these da Vinci weights did. They leaked tiny granules all over the floor mid workout causing quite a mess and ruining my workout. Very frustrating considering I was 3 weeks into adding these to my strength building routine, noticed myself getting stronger and better able to handle the added wait and then BAM now I'm back to working out without weights since I have to return these. If you take fitness seriously you know that kind of setback is pretty disappointing. FYI: I used these weights just for curcuit training with a mat (no running included) and the thread is reaping from the seams on both weights and in different areas. To me, that just adds up to bad craftsmanship.

Good Quality, not a good fit BUMMER
I didn't pay attention to the closure, with thought on how I would wear these weights (myself)My thought was to wear them either on wrist or ankle.I have bird wrists, these are wide and bulky, not what I thought they were.Wrist wearing for strengthening my arms, my goal.Wearing on the wrist, a no brainer once I had them, it wasn't going to work. They put on my ankles, I expected the weight. The weight feels good.I wear them while deep cleaning my house, and or I wear them jumping on my Rebounder.BOY when you take them off, you truly get the gist on how much " 6lbs" added and removedreally is ON the body. I have 3lb each free weights, they I use all the time, this how I chose the 3lb ankle weights. My issue isn't with the product, my issues are my very own ankles. They are small incircumference, the weights even pulled to the tightest resistance, they float with movementand or my body heat. This is not the products fault, it's simple math, they are too big.I measured, my Ankles 9 inches circumferenceThe padded weight filled material end to end, is 11 inches,(measure not including any velcro)For Guys, I can't see them having this issue. These are soft to skin, they are whatthey are, 3lb weights for intended use. If you're smaller in ankle/wrist these maynot be your first choice. No hate onto the product, it's the truth.I like the color, Citron, it matches ironically my 15yr old free weights.

loved them, then they let me down, and spilled black sand all over my house. darn you da vinci weights....
unbelievable comfortable, soft, work great... just a few months in began breaking down, spilling black innards... stitching coming out. Bought several. Went from a 5 star to a 1. Will give a 3. Light limited use would still buy. Otherwise not. Bought several, same with all! Sad. :(Update, all sets of them have opened up after minimal use and spill all over. horrible quality. waste of money.

These were a welcome change.
I previously had a 20lb set of ankle weights from Walmart. They were adjustable; I'd taken 4 sandbags out to create 4lb ankle weights. The problem was that they were way too large for my ankles, so they were floppy, uncomfortable, and obnoxious to deal with multiple times a week. These, on the other hand, are wonderful! I have 8-inch (smaller-side) ankles. These are very adjustable and the long velcro strip I have after tightening them snuggly to my ankles secures lightly to the farbic of the weights. I expect they'll get fuzzy over time from the velcro pulling on the fibers, but I'm cool with that. They feel great on, and all of the material seems to be high quality. I would absolutely recommend these for anyone with small ankles looking for a good work out.

Great product (but
Great product (but....) - most convenient to wear due to the soft shell. Unfortunately, the soft material wears off by the contact with the velcro closure. Mine got holes after 4 mos of moderate use as ankle weights. It was good while it lasted....

These stay put pretty well and the velcro holds strong even after 2 years or so.
Funny story, I actually bought these thinking I was getting the 3lb (my mistake, not the company). I had been running with the 1lb so this would have been the natural progression. I used these once and decided that I wasn't ready to bump up the weight yet as they were too heavy. I suggested my husband use them for his leg/sit up Pilates thing he does to add a bit of weight (I told him they were 3lb, too). So fast forward several months and my husband has great abs/thighs and I ask if he wants me to order the next weight up. I go to my Amazon orders and discover that I had inadvertently ordered the 5lb.We decided not to up the weight anymore. These stay put pretty well and the velcro holds strong even after 2 years or so.

Bad for Ankle, Terrible for Wrists
Bad as ankle weights, terrible as wrist weights. The tightest these can go on a normal sized ankle would fall over your entire foot. The tightest setting fits snug around my calf and I have decently sized calves. Completely useless as wrist weights unless your wrist is the size of a calf because the rosters setting won’t even stay on my forearm and as previously mentioned it worked on my calf so as you can imagine I’m sure how useless they’d be as wrist weights

Feel the burn!
Holy smokes, I underestimated how heavy 5 lbs strapped to my ankles would be! Although it took a little getting used to and continuously keeping my core engaged to minimize back pain, I really love these ankle weights. I started just wearing them around the house while playing with my kids or doing housework and progressed to doing cardio with them. Jumping rope, jumping jacks, stair climber, boxing, etc is no joke with 5 lb ankle weights! These are also great for low impact exercises like leg lifts, donkey kicks, knee raises, fire hydrants, etc. It adds a whole new level to any workout routine. I also haven't had any issues with sand spilling out or the weights cutting into my skin. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
