Fun gameplay and great as a teaching aid
My 8 year old daughter is struggling with her times tables, so I've been looking for more 'fun' ways of helping her grasp them. This particular game has proved to be quite a hit with the family. Gameplay is fun, not too competitive and the cards are beautifully illustrated. The times table element helps to add a sneaky bit of maths to the game without feeling like a learning chore. The gameplay is simple - you draw a card on your turn, hoping to complete a full set of 5 crew members and a ship. Rolling the 2 dice, you times the 2 numbers together - an even number answer draws a 'crew' card, whilst an odd number draws a 'rat' card. To be the winner, you need to have a ship, all 5 crew members and no rats on board! Drawing a cat card from the crew pile will get rid of the rats you might've picked up. It's a very easy game to play and for younger players, there's a times tables card that they can use to help with the answers if needed.I home school my daughter and we use this as a maths aid when practising her tables. It's definitely easier to teach something when she doesn't feel like it's a lesson. I highly recommend this to any parents with a youngster currently learning their tables.

Fab game!
Such a great times table game you hardly realise your learning, it’s such a fun concept of collecting your crew. Even my 5 year old loved it by just working out whether it was odd or even and saying the double digits off the times table sheet you get. I have bought this game many times for friends and families kids. If I could rate it 10 I would. Best times table game I’ve found.

Good for teaching times tables
Rules were quite complex. I also thought that it was rather pricey for what amounted to a card game. That being said however, most educational games are expensive.

A must buy!
Absolutely brilliant game it's not so heavy on the maths yet still gets them doing all the times table the aim of the game is to get all your crew members and a ship (with no rats on board) to winThe rules are simple and if you have a competitive family they will love this also no one is made to feel "stupid" or set on a timer to get the correct answer we play with me hubby eldest who's 15 middle who's 10 and our youngest at 7 the number chart provided is a little small so I just printed off a larger one you can play the game without it but we just leave a couple on the table so if someone is stuck they can have a peekEven numbers gets you a "crew" card this is your ships, crews, cats (which get rid of the rats) and your "conflict" cards (think of them as in bonus cards where you can try to take another players card or make them discard a crew etc)And odd numbers means pick up a rat card a cat can get rid of 3 rats at a time unless you get the main cat who can get rid of 5 at once my kids truly love this game, they actually ask me to play it we play it almost daily! I'm sure it is improving everyone's times table (mine definitely needed a top up!) but it's such a fun game none of the kids think of it as maths so win win more family time and their maths is improving all the time absolutely great game I actually already sent the link to a bunch of my mum friends for their kid and they are loving it too!Great job creaters

Good fun
A good game. Not sure it's going to be a family favourite but might help with times tables.

My son LOVES this - wouldn’t practice until we found this game
It’s brilliant - I enjoy playing it too. Great for practicing times table but disguised as a really fun, strategic card game. My son wouldn’t practice his tables but now asks to play several rounds of this a day! And I enjoy it too so a really fun moment together at the end of the day.

Fun Family Game
I bought this to play with my children 8 and 6 hoping it will help learn there multiplication without feeling like learning and I am pleased. It is enjoyable and play time is not too long to get a game in before bed time.
