Easy setup if replacement
Several buttons on my old remote (same model) stopped working. Logitech no longer makes these universal remotes. I ordered a used replacement, logged in, downloaded the settings (wised for the old remote), and it works like a champ with all of my devices. Used device cost much less than a new replacement—and I’m not sure where new ones are coming from anyway since they aren’t being manufactured by Logitech anymore. The remote is nice because it can create activities (to start and configure multiple components with a single button—like watching TV/cable by turning on the TV and stereo receiver, setting the correct TV and stereo inputs and configuring the remote to work both devices with the rest of the remote buttons. Same for watching DVD/BluRay discs, listening to CDS OR USB (MP3’s), etc…. Sad to see Logitech no longer making them (or newer models).

Set up in My Harmony not as easy (latest / greatest windows ) but still great remote
I'm replacing an older model, with this. The set up for this model was a little difficult for me, as I could not get the software to work with my newer PC newer version of windows. After I used an older PC with older windows version and worked out the issue, was able to program the remote easily.I wish I could remember the "trick" to get the software to work, the problem was when trying to complete the set up it would lock up. I found that if I log in manually (maybe click my account) in my Harmony, I was able to continue and complete the set up.Great remote, after My harmony log in, the set up is very easy. Unfortunately the software does not appear to be updated for latest / greatest windows and internet browser version.Highly recommended. Disagree with some other reviews, the software is available, and you can get it to work. It may take a couple attempts.

Logitech - Renewed
I thought this was a great choice for a remote. I got it and it wouldn't sync up with the S/W. I called Logitech and they said that since this was a "Renewed" product that the S/N was "locked" and would not work nor could you override it. I sent it back and bought a brand new one from Best Buy for $30 less than the price on Amazon.

Easy to program and use
I now have two of these and love them. You have to go to the Logitech website to setup and program but it is straight forward and easy to change over tiime if you change any of your equipment. Highly recommend...

May not work properly
The backlight on the LCD screen remains on all the time. There is no way to turn it off, even when going through all the settings in Logitech Harmony setup software. A search on Google shows that this issue is common. I found no way to fix the problem. Information on Google suggests that updating the remote's software can fix it. I have no idea how to do that. This situation will run down the batteries more quickly than normal. I likely cannot use this remote. Other than the backlight problem, the remote works.

Forget My Negative Review
I bought this Logitech remote (renewed), set it up, and hoped that our problems with remote controls were gone. Instead, the exact same problems continued to drive us nuts. Over a few days, I went through four other remotes, but they all were loaded with problems, buttons not working, devices not turning off or on, and on and on. A couple of nights ago, as I thought over the continuing nightmare of bad remotes, it hit me that it is unlikely that all 5 remotes had gone bad. I began looking for some other answers for the problems. After rebooting the cable box and moving the router and modem from where my son had placed them, about six inches from the box, our TV watching has returned to a simple and smooth stage. I returned the renewed Logitech Harmony remote and got a prompt refund from Amazon, but I regret that I gave it an undeserved bad review. If you are needing a new remote control, I recommend that you consider the renewed remotes.Well,

So glad I bought this
I am not generally a fan of purchasing refurbished electronics however since Logitech discontinued the Harmony line I had no choice. So glad I got this. The 665 arrived 3 days after I ordered it. Upon opening the box the unit looked new.I installed new batteries and the unit immediately powered up. I have 2 other Harmony’s which I bought new so I’m familiar with both the software and the install process. The install went as it normally does and the unit worked as designed. Too bad Harmony doesn’t sell it’s tech to a company that wants to fill this nich. For those who have never installed a Harmony remote have the make and modelNumbers of your components handy and know how they connect to your system. If you do this prior to doing the install it will go more quickly.
