knowing ahead of time there are only a handfulof Russia travel guides to begin with, i was still hoping to get mote in depth info on Central , Southern & Northern Russia. There are hundreds of towns & thousands of square miles outside of the usual Moscow/St. Petersburg itinerary thst many of is want to visit. Also not everyone going to Siberia is just taking the Trans Siberian without fully exploring towns& villages. Please provide more information for your more “ off the beaten path” areas of your immense country!

I was not very familiar with Russia only having been to St Peterburgh -- I needed to plan a trip for some customers and as it is such a huge country crossing many time zones I needed to sort out what to see, and when to visit. The book provided this so happy.

The history is great if one has no familiarity with Russia .Both Moscow and St. Petersburg are quite overwhelming but in my opinion the rather cursory attention paid to each did not do either justice .Probably should have selected a guide more focused specifically on each. Oh well!

I bought this with thoughts of travelling to Russia later this year. Whether or not I do go I have learned a great deal about the country and if I do not go then I have still spent my money wisely
