Great product…..but…
This is a great item. I regret having waited so long to get one. I love the softness of the leather so. It claims to hold 8 keys, but I have 3 on one side and 2 on the other with spacers and the screw posts almost weren’t long enough. If you don’t use the spacers then the keys are slightly difficult to get to so I’m not sure about removing them to make room for more keys. Just need longer screws to accommodate keys and spacers. This would also help with installation. It was harder than it looks once you start stacking everything, but all in all it’s a great product and would buy again without question.

Wonderful minimalist key solution, one of the best having tried many
I wanted a slim key solution that wouldn't scratch up my leather wallet. I tried the Ridge Key Case, and that thing is chunky and you have so much volume on the scales and the pocket clip if you use that. Then I've tried a couple of chinese off brand key organizers, they are okay but they all lack the feeling of a quality good that will last, plus are cheap aluminum and have hard machined ridges that will scratch up all your stuff.I bought my first KeySmart at a gas station, which was just a basic plastic model after being frustrated by these solutions that seem to add bulk. It's tricky to get your keys installed, and you likely need to play around with spacers but you probably don't do this often. This version is a slightly slimmer than the plastic version with some style and wow does this impress. The scales feel dense and strong, and the edges are rounded and have a soft touch. The Red Forged Carbon Fiber the rendered images don't serve it justice how good this looks. It has a glossy finish, and iridescent red flakes. The top scale is reversible so you can pick the side that looks prettiest to you.You don't even need tools to put this together. It has rubber spacers on both sides so if you torque down the screws too tightly you cannot really use your keys. You can just use your thumb and tighten the screws about as far as you can tighten it with your thumb it is at about perfect tension.I modded a Keyport MOCA to fit into this and it's just the perfect tool that won't get you into trouble with the TSA. Keysmart has their own tool, but I don't love the idea of a screw driver point jabbing into everything in my pocket.

Nice quality, Good function, Questionable recycling and width sizing.
I have a GM Passkey 3 key with the passive RF transponder embedded in the black plastic key head so I purchased the Titanium Extended model.I decided to try the Titanium because of the scratching and/or poor tooling quality reviews on the Aluminum versions.Packaging:The packaging was a yellow padded envelope with small ziplock bags containing all the small parts. I was a bit disappointed to see that the scratching issues with the Titanium model was the same as with the Aluminum models reported in the reviews. I share the opinion that if something is purchased retail new, it should not appear as though someone else has already tried it out with light scratches on the plates and head buggering marks in the slots of the screw heads where a screw driver or US quarter has been used to torque the screws. The scratches were not manufacturing tooling scratches, as some were on the inside of the plates and have a radius to them consistent with a key placed on a pivot at the post. I believe I may have gotten a used unit as did other reviewers, and due to the frequency of the Amazon reviews the seller likely recycling returned units as new. For a premium product at premium prices in 2015 America, this is under par.Assembly:The video instructions on the website were good and I was able to get to a spacer / key combination within 10 minutes and 3 trials to a nice compact package. A little o-ring on each screw head provides the friction to stop the assembly from coming apart with use and vibration. Time will tell how well it works or whether it needs a dab of Blue threadlocker on the threads.Design:I purchased the 2-10 key unit which means that it comes with 2 threaded stacking posts which are very nicely manufactured. All of the parts are very nicely machined with no burrs or roughness. Very precise, tight fitting, straight and accurate. The manufacturing quality is certainly high for this product; I'd say quality control and machining standards for the screw fittings are similar to that of a $1000+ Swiss watch; very nice. The Titanium plates, however, are a manufacturing standard lower. The edges are finished and deburred, but there are rough visible tooling marks on the edges that would not exist on a standard $15 Victorinox Swiss Army knife. So they probably put the plates into a ceramic media tumble polisher after stamping, but do not go through the extra step of grinding the internal long concave edges smooth. The convex ends of the plates near the screw posts do appear hand ground and finished as the tooling marks are absent on the ends with a smoother finish. The spacer washers are a black composite material. Not metallic, nylon, or pure plastic, but appears to be a combination plastic matrix it appears - perhaps Delrin. These seem to protect the plastic keys and give a nice friction to the movement.Sizing:The package contains enough spacers for 10 keys, but the posts are not tall enough for 5 standard metal keys on each post. You can get max 4 metal keys on each post if using the spacers correctly. Perhaps if you do not use any spacer washers you could squeeze 5 keys, but then the end keys will scrape along the sides. A thick plastic head GM car key takes up the width of 2.5 to 3 keys (depending on an end or center of key measurement). These width details and width sizing guidance are not provided on the website. Perhaps these details can used by others to avoid purchasing errors.Overall Impression and Function:Works well. It gets rid of the key ring jumbled mess I had. I'd say it's about 30% too expensive for a key solution, but I can't design, test, source the parts and manufacture this for the one-off price. Nicely done KeySmart. It's not perfect, as it does not directly address having a small flashlight, knife, or electronic car key fob. There is a little key loop extender to attach the car fob to, but where's the elegance in that? I like it well enough and would recommend it for that obsessively optimizing perfectionist geek, or that city dwelling metrosexual minimalist. It's a nice gift to give (for the geek that can appreciate it) and nice to own. A little bit of functional luxury in the pocket.

LIFESAVER- EVERYONE IS GETTING ONE FOR THE HOLIDAYS!
It had gotten to the point my.keys were just ridiculous, too heavy to comfortably have in any pocket, too bulky to cram into a pocket or hang from a belt loop. The listing seemed too good to be true, like an "As Seen on TV" type of shenanigans. I WAS SO WRONG. First and most shallow, it looks like a nice piece of quality crafted gadgetry. Not cheap in any way, I can whip my keys out at McDonalds or for a valet and feel zero conflict about how they might present. Noice. Also - The low profile containment is an absolute game.changer! Getting my keys off the old ring was FAR more difficult than setting up this one from start to finish. Don't be I timidated thinking it's going to be a nightmare, it went quick & smooth on the first try, all my keys now lie inside this toothpick holder sized gadget, I have my fob attached, and it was easy to organize my keys however I needed to in order to have the fastest access no matter what I needed to unlock. Sturdy, comes with everything you need EXCEPT you will need a dime or a flathead screwdriver to do a final twist on the fastener - there's 2 total. I used a dime and have had no issues despite putting it through a rigorous daily "dig to the bottom of the abyss " to find them in my hoarder like purse. I'm thrilled to find such a unique and effective item for myself, and also have them in my save for later for one click holiday shopping, DO IT YOU WONT BE SORRY. QUALITY + VALUE = WINNING
