Half the price of the Harmon-Kardon repair and so much louder and nicer ! If you’re debating changing your stereo then don’t wait any longer !UPDATE- ok so after a few months it has come to not handle vibration very well . It keeps saying output error after a little while riding . Hit a bump , vibration and such it cuts to that error message . When I slow down it’ll come back on sometimes and others it won’t .I love the sound and volume! Looks great too but I’m thinking of switching to aquatic stereo .All in all it’s still better than the stock stereo!

The best single din on the market!.. Double the power output of every other radio out there! Bluetooth connectivity is flawless!

The directions are hideous! No where in the instructions does it say you have to connect the accessory AND power wires together. Directions show an either or situation. It made a simple installation into a three hour ordeal - testing, and retesting power and connections! I was ready to send the unit back (like other reviewers did) until I watch a video of a biker installing the unit in a Harley. A month later, and I still can't believe how bad the installation instructions were!The unit itself has great sound, and ample power. The remote has to be pointed directly at the unit, so it a bit of a nuisance if you have it tucked away somewhere. I ended up using the Bluetooth connection and my phone as the remote, as mine is in a glove box.

Sony has always been a provider of great quality products but looks like I received a dud. The head unit was installed as directed and worked great for about 10 minutes and while trying to tune the sound, the volume was elevated to about half power at which time the unit started clipping and then no sound. All Sony troubleshooting was followed from resets, to initialization and even rewired to ensure all connections were solid but still no sound. Speakers are new Sony XS160s which were pulled and bench test to confirm no issues. Cramming a higher power amplifier into a single head unit does not seem the way to go. Sony even notes in their troubleshooting guide that if the sounds stops and it has been wired to the vehicle's dedicated 12V power source for the factory radio to then wire direct to the battery. Seems that this might be an ongoing issue for their high powered head units.

This is a lot louder than the Pioneer head unit I had. It is clear and loud and with good speakers you can hear the music at highway speeds. I highly recommend for Jeep YJ open top owners.

The receiver had a factory defect. Amazon told me too bad deal with it! However, the seller CREATIVE AUDIO said we totally understand and will ship you out a replacement! Ask for Nolan he is a stand up gentleman!

I love this stereo! Great functionality, love the customizable colors, and the 10 band custom EQ is great for tweaking sound quality. The internal amp is plenty powerful, I was thinking about replacing the speakers in my boat but this unit has really woken up the old ones, so no longer necessary. Internal amp is powerful enough that I ended up having to run a dedicated 12 gauge circuit to the battery, it was pulling enough current through the factory wiring to cause the voltage to drop and the head unit to shut off. Much better now.
