Duramax Overheating Solution, also get the Tstats, does not make run too cool, Just right*****UPDATE*******I had this radiator professionally installed in October of 2014. It just failed with a leak on April 26 2015. I have contacted the manufacturer and they have agreed to replace under warranty. However they insist that I pay up to a $100.00 fee for shipping of the new part to me. They do not want the defective part, but will not cover the shipping of the new radiator to me.

This radiator is for my daily driver. I have installed a Mishimoto radiator in another truck and liked it very much. I haul very heavy trailers often. It doesn't appear to leak currently. I installed it anyway because I need to use the truck.I hope that it won't fail prematurely.I am not happy.

Direct fit my eye! According to the description this unit should be a straight swap out, right? Wrong! Lower water hose which has an o-ring seal did not fit at all. Mishimoto supplied an o-ring with the new unit but it had a larger cross sectional diameter than the old one and would not fit. Old o-ring would not seal. Shop contacted Mishimoto Support Center and was told that the bottom hose had to be replaced with one that was made for the larger o-ring. They supplied GM part # 25841843 for the new hose that would accept the larger o-ring. Cost - $306. Obviously they knew the radiator wouldn't fit the existing hose! Next, transmission oil lines would not fit. Fittings from old radiator would not seal to new unit. Had to get other adapters for oil lines to seal. I did not try returning the unit because when I found out about the problem I was half pregnant, it would have cost about the same to reinstall the old one as purchasing the required parts to make this "direct fit" unit work.THIS IS FOR YOU AMAZON --- you have one very unhappy customer. Your program said this unit would fit my truck. There was no mention of needing additional parts to make it work, you said it would fit! Then I checked part # 25841843 in your system and was told that it did not fit my truck (which should be correct) so there was no way I could have known about any of this ahead of time. My truck was down for 2 additional days and I incurred the expense of additional parts because of MY TRUST IN YOUR DESCRIPTION.Performance yet to be seen, hopefully not another disappointment.

very high quality. Easy to follow instructions. Takes about 4-5 hours though.Update 2-3-18. I had to replace this radiator about a year after instillation. The manufacturer replaced it under warranty but made me pay for shipping. Now the replacement is leaking! This is not an easy job, and it takes time. Not to mention replacement cost of new antifreeze. I am now wondering about the quality of these radiators. They seem to last for about a year before leaking. ****Update 7-22-19 I am on my 4th radiator, and it is leaking again!! There is some flaw that causes this radiator to leak. Mishimoto will send a replacement, but don't waste your time. I am going back to a stock unit, this is not worth the headache.Update 2-8-18: I did receive another replacement radiator from Mishimoto. I must say that the company does have outstanding customer service. They made the warranty replacement very easy....absolutely no hassle whatsoever. I literally had a replacement radiator sitting on my front porch the next day after speaking with them. I still had to pay for another shipping charge, but they reduced the price to $80. I will post another update if there are any troubles with this 3rd radiator!

The original lower radiator hose is close to 1/8" larger than this radiator's lower hose fitting. You are forced to use the Mishimoto hose set for another 324.00. Cost me down- time and money. Also the brackets on the Mishimoto radiator for the fan shroud are positioned too far from the core and finally, the packing and shipping was horrible. Received a tattered box with bent main mounts on one side of the radiator.The whole deal just leaves a bad taste with me. I recommend going to the local parts store and purchasing original spec replacement parts for a fraction of the cost.

Started out very excited to get a Mishi radiator for my Duramax. The pipes coming out of radiator were wrong size. were supposed to be stock fit . Wrong . Called their customer service.. lol got absolutely nothing no help at all .said they would get right back and never called . disapointed in Tn Amazon did take it back thank god dont buy anything Mishimoto is my advise

Installed the Radiator less then six months ago and the tanks have now started leaking. I will update again once I figure out how to replace this defective radiator.
