Heavy
This was a great product but the inside paint bubbled up and smells bad. I’m not sure what they used to coat the inside but it seems like the paint is peeling and it’s smelly. Other than that it’s heavy and well made. Wish they used a better paint to coat the interior. Exterior was great and does not peel or bubble. This has been on my hot wood stove since it arrived and looks nice.

Wood stove steamer/kettle
Season before using, as with all cast iron products. Doing it twice before using makes it even better. As many other reviews state, this is not really suitable for drinking water. Kettle works as described and definitely makes a difference. Add scents to the water for an even better experience. When our wood stove gets to desired temperature the water in the kettle last about 3 hours before needing a refill. As with all pots/pans, once hot refill only with hot water to avoid warping. Handle on this unit is stays touchable after getting hot but you will need a glove to remove the lid to add water. Unit will get a little rust IF you leave water in it while not in use. Comes out with a good copper pad and a good rubbing. Well worth the money.

It is heavy
So I am a real person. I bought this for my fireplace. I seasoned the outside, just using PAM spray. Once the fire is going, the water does begin to steam. After a few days on the fireplace I did notice rust on the inside. I cleaned it out and sprayed a little high heat black paint inside, it is fine now.

Nice and heavy
A pretty piece sitting on my wood stove. Bought just for decoration and am pleased.

Very good quality.
Very thick cast iron, good quality, only downside is lid doesn’t seal well, and condensation builds up, and drips onto stovetop.

Poor finish, doesn’t work well
This distributes very little moisture compared to the pot I had been using previously. Also the finish seems cheap/poor and there’s some weird oxidation of the finish inside the pot (pictured). It seems like they put a paint type finish on it rather than a cast iron finish you’d find on a cooking pan that can withstand more heat. I definitely don’t want to be humidifying whatever that is into the air I’m breathing. I wish I had returned within the window. I would not buy again and do not recommend.
