Excellent for light duty occasional print jobs
An excellent choice I think for light duty occasional print jobs, so it gets five stars for that use case. But this printer is not for frequent jobs or big jobs, mostly due to the tiny ink cartridges that will suck you into ink extortion hell. But aside from this one negative, this is a moderately price printer with a lot of exceptional features for occasional light duty print jobs: it features a motorized automatic slide out paper output tray that stays out of the way when you're not printing; a true duplex (double-sided) scanner; a single sheet rear paper feeder; and a modest desktop footprint: And on mine, a automatic sheet feeder that keeps the paper square and does not skew it–perhaps I got lucky there. It even has a template for printing on recordable CD/DVDs, if you still use those.

Happy with customer service.
I’ve had this same printer for a number of years and when it finally gave out, I bought another one. That’s my product review. This review is about customer service. I ordered my printer and it arrived in about 10 days. When it arrived I noticed that there was a gouge in the box and the installation software cd was smashed. The interior packaging was all intact and undamaged and the printer itself looked to be in perfect condition. When I went to set it up however, I kept getting an error code which suggested something was wrong with the ink carriage. I made numerous attempts to resolve this problem through firmware updates, software updates, and work arounds, but I always got the same error code and direction to restart the printer. So I repackaged the printer and returned it. The return process went pretty smoothly with one exception… the return policy requires that you PRINT a return label to return a printer that doesn’t print. The UPS store helped me out with this, and my account was credited in full within just a couple of days.I reordered the printer, it arrived in about a week and installed quickly and easily.

Set up not as easy as advertised - prints slowly.
Can be a pain getting all the right updates installed - have older version windows that was connected to older model Epson printer. This one is slower to print, but one feature I wanted was to be able to print CD/DVD's which this printer does.Be careful putting in the ink - I was super careful with the cartridges, but the protective covers also had ink in them (which I hadn't anticipated) & it got on my hands - my older Epson & HP printers don't have those. So far it's working OK, but it took about 2-3 hours to get it up & going.

I wouldn't recommend this printer to my worst enemy. Here's why.
I have owned this printer for 4 years. If you need to print less than 10 text-only pages per year, this may be an okay printer for you. Otherwise, avoid this printer (and all others like it) at all costs. If someone tells you they will pay you $1,000 if you buy this printer, do not accept it unless you plan to use it for target practice in which case that would be a great deal. Why do I despise this printer with such intensity? Why would I not recommend it, even to my worst enemy? Why do I waste time daydreaming about packing it full of Tannerite, pouring gasoline on it, setting it on fire, tossing it from the edge of the grand canyon and shooting it as it falls clumsily through the air?#1 - You will spend so much on ink that you may have to file for bankruptcy or at least apply for government assistance. Hundreds of dollars a year, easily.#2 - Want to print only black and white and have plenty of black in in the printer? No problem! Just make sure you buy all the color ink cartridges first. Seriously, while it is unreliable and inconsistent, 95% of the time it will not let you print BLACK AND WHITE ONLY unless the COLOR ink cartridges are plenty full. Hmmm... wonder why that is?#3 - Its wireless printing capabilities are completely unreliable.#4 - After a couple of years of use, the print is uneven, smearing here and there, random lines getting printed. In other words, quality is not great.#5 - It acts like it can be used to print quality photos. Maybe... just keep in mind the cost/picture is probably about $2 given the exorbitant price of ink and how much it uses.#6 - Multiple times when I have needed it most (like today), it has played trick #2 from above on me, putting me in a real bind.
