Really useful piece of kit for the toolbox. Makes measuring out long distances so simple now, no more trying to balance and support a tape measure across a long stretch. Simply line up and press the button.Visual display is really clear, can be used indoors and outside.

Have given 3 stars for ease of use for this particular make/model but my guess is my comments apply to all the other measuring devices that have the same hard plastic case dimensions and button config.Basically holding against a hard flat surface and trying to keep it steady to put the laser spot where you want it can be a challenge, ok if your measuring from a flat wall to a flat wall but crouching in under recesses or holding it steady above your head is tricky. My suggestion here is to make the base a hard rubberised foot so it will grip to hard shiny surfaces. Even better would be a simple moulded plastic attachment of some kind to increase the surface area of the base.

Excellent tool for measuring indoors, but purchased for measuring up to 23M outdoors, the laser light is not bright enough to be able to use. A little disappointing.
