Important - Coleman Gas Camping Grill/Stove
IMPORTANT please read -12-18-2022 Update - It's accurate about the thin aluminum grate warping during use. Pictured is another per-camping test with a heavy GSI 36 cup percolator coffee pot. Burner output is great, but it took about 30 minutes in 40 degree F ambient temp to come to a boil. After the stove cooled, I noticed that the grill grate had drawn (bowed into the burner) about 1/8" in the center. Don't know if it was due to constant high heat, weight, or both. End result is that this cooling grate should be a thicker cast iron...A fantastic portable propane stove + grill, but now I know why a solid griddle is not offered. The grilling burner needs air / ventilation to properly/ safely operate (see photos). Using anything larger than a 9" Lodge cast iron pan will create a combustion air deficit, resulting in propane flames collecting in the grilling pit area and coming up beyond the stove around the 10-1/2" X 10-10-1/2" Lodge reversable grilling pan and Lodge 12" solid griddle. See photos. This is not a manufacturer defect or error, but it is a different setup compared to standard home gas stoves where the burners have plenty of ventilation with the raised grates to the stove top surface. I just did the physical tests. Have no regrets about the purchase and look forward to years of use

Worth the money
I've used this coleman grill now a dozen times and have to say it works very well for meals while u travel to save from eating out all the time. I've taken this camping and while I travel and stay at hotels and cook outside and this thing has been flawless. Sure the grate is aluminum and not meant to put a pot or pan on it and will melt. There's a separate single burner for that. Strongly recommend this for camping or people that travel.

It's a coleman
It's a Coleman and just as good as the colemans I've been using for 55 years! Worked great. Held up great built well I love it !I do wish it came with a carrying case. I would gladly pay the extra 10 to 20 bucks just to get a case because trying to store this thing in a car or a truck I'll open like that is just difficult. I know there are aftermarket options available, but it would be nice to have at least some sort of carrier. Just a cheap bag to protect the cover and make it easier to use this unit.Otherwise I'm very happy. Thank you guys!

Nice stove grill but has some damage
Stove looks nice flame adjustment is good grill flame is abit low but usable. In the grill area there is alittle damage from production but it's only cosmetic and I'm not returning it. I'm taking a picture to show it. It was easy to assemble and seems sturdy. I have not used it yet but will update when I do. It looks like tooling marks not sure.

Perfecto!
I got this for my Volkswagen camper bus and I'm super excited about it! I tried it out on my balcony and it works really well. It was super easy to clean (I did put foil in the bottom of the grill area and made a hole for drainage like some reviewers recommended). The burner side is a little narrow so can't put a very big pot/pan on it but I'll figure it out! Very pleased so far...hopefully it lasts!

GREAT VALUE. Fits the medium case. Watch out when pushing the ignition button. Love it, though, impressed!
Perfect in every way, burner is big enough for a camp pot or kettle and grill cooks plenty for a family of 4 or 5 in just minutes. Doesn't take too much propane because it is so fast; quick cooking and experienced no issues with unevenness mentioned by other reviews. Cooked dinner and breakfast and didn't finish a regular propane can. One thing to note is that the starter button is awkward to push--the button is in the front and you have to push it in really hard (toward the back of the stove), which makes the stove slip slide backwards while the flame bursts up-- kind of feels dangerous but it was ok. Takes some getting used to, and you should support the stove with your other hand to avoid slipping around while you push it. Also, very happy we got the case--the MEDIUM one (there are 3 sizes), which will protect this and hold 2 cans of propane nicely. Griddle sold separately was a great purchase too--made additional use of pans unnecessary and is much better nonstick than any camping pan. This is a great camping staple and it looks like it will be used for many happy opportunities in the future. Such a great value and so much fun!

Awesome grill :D
The media could not be loaded. To lower the flame on the grill side turn the right knob upwards slowly to the point that it will pass their indicator tip. Even after grilling one burger pattie it makes a good mess so line up the bottom area very well w/foil. I replaced the aluminum grill w/a cast iron one from another vendor. It’s a good portable, looking forward to grill chicken, fish :)

Good stove, could be improved
Bottom line: It's a good working stove. Apparently I got a good deal on Amazon; I received the grill a week ago, then I came back to write this review and the price has gone up by $20! There a few little annoying places where Coleman cut corners.- Easy to setup and useScrew in the feet before the first use. Slide the drip tray into the grooves on the bottom. Lay down some aluminum foil Make sure the valves are closed. A 16oz Home Depot propane can installs easily and safely. The piezoelectric starter lit the grill on the first try every time.- Grill heat is unevenAs to be expected, because the grill is close to the burner, the middle of the grill is A LOT hotter than the outer edges. Be aware of this and rotate your food if necessary, or your food may cook unevenly!- Nonstick grill surfaceAfter oiling the grill and grilling 2 chicken breasts, there was a lot of charred food stuck to the grill. I had to soak the grill in hot soapy water to get it fully clean. It would be nice if the grill were stainless steel so I could easily scrape it clean with a grill brush without worrying about damaging the nonstick coating and getting teflon in my food.- The lid isn't designed to close, so food takes longer to cook- The knobs on the burner valves click shut, but not very tightly. They can easily jostle open during transport. There is no dial on the knob for visual confirmation that the valves are closed when you install the propane tank.
