Love it
Needed a micrometer for my job and didn't want to spend money on junk. The machinists there liked Starrett so that's what I got. You can tell this is a fine quality instrument. There is an optional ball attachment available for measuring inside curves.

Excellent product.
Starrett quality with excellent accuracy. Only issue I had is the set doesn’t come with a setting standard. I wish I would of known before buying both my 0-1 and 2-3 mics as I would of just bought the 0-4 set. Otherwise quality is great as expected.

If you have to get it right to 1/3000th of a hair, Starrett is the way.
Operates on a Vernier scale, old school. No batteries. Very smooth motion. Very smooth ratchet to ensure that the same torque is used every time. Comes in a nice, tough, padded box, which it should. You have to treat precision measuring instruments very gently.Note that all micrometer calipers like this only measure in a 1" range. The 2" one here measures 1-2". If you want to go less than 1", you also need a 1" micrometer.

Great item arrived as described, it will be very nice of the seller if he can wrap it with more protective wraps for been a 1200 item, but over a 5 star seller and item

Accurate and reliable!
I have been adding to this collection of micrometers from Starrett. I currently own the 1 thru 4 inch mics and will be adding both the 5 inch and 6 inch to round my set....I work in a metrology lab, so I was able to check each mics calibration...they measured spot on right down to the tenth. Considering this and a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend these to an machinist, quality control tech, or anyone who needs a reliable and accurate set of micrometers....I hope my review helps someone!

Micrometer Needed Adjustment
Starrett makes an excellent micrometer. However, when I received mine it needed to be adjusted as the zeroes on the spindle and thimble were no aligned.

As Great As Starrett Always Is
Excellent product. I’ve always been a fan of Starrett and this didn’t disappoint. Took it to work to have certified and there were no issues with accuracy. I got the camo and it looks great and I’m happy to have a unique product.
