Amazing coco!
Love this! Mt cookie icing was black! I am never going to use black food coloring on my cookies again! It does have a slight taste of dark coco but it’s very mild. I dissolved in boiling water before adding to my royal icing. I used 1 tbsp of coco to 1/2 tbsp boil water then added a little more water until I got a loose paste. Then added to my prepared a small amount stiff royal icing until I got the black color I wanted. I added warm water to the icing to get my flood consistency I wanted. I also used it to make black brownies.. whoa! Rich! They were amazing! The flavor was super decadent and rich! You need vanilla ice cream to balance but absolutely wonderful!

Great for making black frosting
I thought this was going to have a super bitter flavor, but it doesn’t. I think the best quality about it is that I don’t have to use as much, if any coloring to make black frosting. It has a nice flavor

Tastes like Oreo Cookie!
Doesn’t take a lot of this to make frosting black. Blends well when mixing with the frosting. Does thicken frosting so might need additional liquid to spread or decorate. Quality is good and taste reminds me of Oreos. Smells delicious! More expensive than regular cocoa so if a cookie/cake decorator may want to charge more. Well worth the price though!

Just wow
The media could not be loaded. This cocoa powder is as black as that angler fish that washed ashore back in 2021. The blackest thing known to man, that’s this cocoa powder. I don’t know what I expected but this exceeded whatever it was. And it taste like Oreos. AND before you add your liquids, this powder mixed with the flour looks like moon dust (I didn’t get a pic but take my word for it). Coolest and tastiest product I’ve bought, I will definitely be back when I run out. Rest assured, I will run out.

Awesome!
As a parent avoiding artificial dyes I was so happy to stumble upon this option via Pinterest. My daughter wanted Toothless the dragon cupcakes for her birthday, and this cocoa made the absolute best black frosting! The kids commented that it tasted like oreos, and it has the extra bonus of not staining everyone's mouth black.

Nice Black effect without the dye
Like the product. Gives the effect without the dye. No color stains. Heated it as used in a ganache, left a unusual bitter, taste not Oreo taste. Taste was perfect before heating. I would still use it as it eliminates the use of dyes and after taste of bitterness in using food coloring, just as a regular frosting.

My fav cocoa powder
Tastes like oreo cookies. I bought it to make black buttercream but also makes amazing hot cocoa, brownies, and black chocolate cakes. Definitely would buy again. (Also smells amazing)

Made 4 tester cakes to find the flavor
There was a lot of mixed reviews saying that it either didn’t have a flavor, was earthy, or tasted like Oreos. So I made 4 cakes. 1 with just this cocoa powder, 2 with this and Hershey’s cocoa powder, 3 just Hersheys (as a control), 4 with both including espresso. It’s safe to say that it does have a subtle favlor that reminds me of an earthy sweet tone the way a blended macha is sweet and earthy. The difference being more subtle and not macha. Now if you want to accent the sweetness of this cocoa, mixing in a little bit of Hershey’s cocoa powder definitely brightness that tone and makes a delicious combo as it also balances out the Hershey’s with a touch of bitter. If you want to accent the neutral/earthy tones, espresso does wonders though I have not made a 5th tester with just this and espresso.Overall it’s beautiful in color and flavor profile and adds extra depth to your chocolate cakes. I would absolutely recommend playing around with this ingredient to create delicious combos and profiles. 10/10, I will be keeping this in stock.
