I used this to float my shower floor with deck mud. I had to cut the bevel off one end so I could get a flat finish all the way to the wall. Keep in mind this product is for concrete. I modified this so it would work for my application (tile installation). The products available for tile deck mud are generally wood. I looked at the wood ones and all of them were warped.

This is the best wood float you can buy for dry pack and mud work. Regular wood ones seem to warp when wet but this one seems to hold its shape no matter what. Another great thing is that it cuts fat mud without taking too much off and helps make the finished work flatter.

I am in construction and use this type of tool often. I had an all wood one before this and it would eventually warp from getting wet. This is resin and works great and no warp! Cleans up easy and light weight.
