My iPad Air is still relatively new but I have been using iPads since the iPad 1. In all that time I have tried and got rid of no less than 20 cases of different types and styles. I just received my New Trent NT611GR case delivered today and I can tell I will be using this case for a long time. I did as most people when getting a new item, I quickly opened it and started to follow the instructions, iPad in hand. I recommend you don't do this with this case. Read all of the instructions before beginning. The instructions for adjusting the hand strap are listed after the instructions for putting the case onto the ipad. Adjusting the hand strap (if you have small hands) requires it to be adjusted from inside the case prior to putting it together. I, however, have large hands and do not require any adjustment so was lucky or I would have needed to take it all apart again. The instructions provided are very easy to follow. On the rubber outer shell is a small arrow and if you start there the case disassembles with ease. The iPad fits firmly inside the hard inner case and the rubber outer shell provides even stronger protection and provides small doors that cover the access points to the iPad such as headphone jack and charging cable port.Being as this is only my first day using the case I will tell you my first impressions and add additional comments after I have used it for a while.The primary pros to this case are noticeable instantly when you install it around your iPad. The ease of fitting the case is outstanding. There is a link included on the instructions to where you may observe a video that walks you through the installation. Once the case is on you will notice one very large difference between it and other cases with screen protection, this one does not have any of the oil spots that show up common in these type of cases. I use my iPad to take pictures periodically. I was concerned that the plastic covers would distort the camera but again was pleasantly surprised. I had no noticeable distortion or blurriness of any kind with this case.The case is dust, shock and water resistant. I never had the will to test a case when it came to water and my electronics but thanks to my dog this was also tested in part. Water was spilled onto the screen and side of the case. I dried it off with a towel and noticed that none of the water, not even a hint of moisture, had made it into the case. I would not submerge the case but if you are in a rain area or have clumsy dogs, you will love this case and the peace of mind that comes with it.The only Cons that I have noticed in my one day of using the case is the instructions having the adjustment of the hand held in a section after the installation instruction portion and the stand that is on the back of the case. It resembles a bottle opener (and may even function as one in an emergency) but it is difficult to open the stand initially. I was afraid I was pulling at the wrong place and feared breaking the case but then it popped open. I suspect this is because it is new and needs to be worked a bit. Once extended the stand is firm and strong. It supports the case very well and unlike many of the similar style cases, it does not slide around on the table top. A lot of cases have a hard edge to them surrounding the iPad. This causes the cases to be slippery both when held and especially when you try to draw or write on the iPad while on a stand. This case was so well thought out it has the rubber outer shell covering each edge and that provides a non-slip surface.Overall I am very happy with my purchase and since I travel to the beach frequently I needed one that could handle the moisture coming from the ocean as well as protect the iPad from any blowing sand or damage should I drop it. This case appears to meet all of my needs.

Pros:The New Trent Gladius Air NT611GR is built well and is designed especially for someone who keeps their iPad air with them all day. The handle allows for security, preventing accidental drops and also provides a sturdy hold at various angles. I would highly recommend the New Trent Gladius Air for those who teach or lecture regularly as it is perfect for this type of use. The strap is made of sturdy brown leather—it even includes that wonderful leather smell.The pop-out kickstand pulls out with a little effort, which tells me it is built well. It’s metal, with a sturdy hinge and strong magnet to hold it in place when it’s shut, and then it clicks into place when it’s open. It can be rotated, on the same swivel as the leather handle, which allows the iPad to sit at two different angled heights in either landscape or portrait mode.The New Trent Gladius Air is very sturdy. The iPad is wrapped in a harder rubber/plastic protecting it (and the buttons, charging port, and headpohone jack, etc.) from spills, dust, and bumps and drops. The button covers on the case are not as difficult to press as buttons in some tablet cases tend to be. The New Trent Gladius Air includes a screen protector that is part of the case, and works very well—doesn’t reduce the functions of the touch screen in any way.I searched for days for the right case for my iPad Air. I found many that had a kickstand or a handle. Or I found some that offered protection and a kickstand but no handle. I wanted all three and New Trent Gladius Air offers all of the above, and it even looks cool and is built well, not cheaply.I am a high school teacher and at times I need to hand my iPad to a student as part of different learning activities, but I’m completely comfortable doing this because this case fully protects the iPad from bumps and bruises.I noticed in the one YouTube review that the reviewer didn’t make it obvious how many ways the iPad can sit using the kickstand. That was an important feature to me and it took further research to confirm all the kickstand features. This is one of the most important selling points of the New Trent Gladius Air, I’ve discovered 5 or more different ways it can sit. I ordered one for me and one for another teacher with an iPad Air.Cons:The kickstand needs to click into place a little more strongly. There is a faint click but sometime when the iPad is set down resting on the kickstand, it collapsesf you haven't clicked it in all the way. Not a serious issue, just something I've noticed.Way to go New Trent!!

Very solid. This case was just what I was looking for in quality. A warning - make sure the cover is a little bit warm before you try to put it on. The only improvement I would like is a top cover over the screen - like a case. I like the quality of this product and the protection it gives the iPadAir. I would like more protection. Apple products are so expensive, even refurbished, that you need a fort Knox to protect your investment.

A gift for my son who had recently got an iPad. He is delighted with this case as it gives all round protection for the tablet which he often carries in a rucksack when cycling.
