There is much to learn from this book. The history of Mesopotamia and the Middle East is a good look at what our earliest (written) ancestors did in their lifetimes. The clay tablets which were baked in fires has provided so much insight in understanding the people of Sumeria, Assyria, Babylon and Persia. This is a comprehensive book but in the end I learned a lot about a culture I knew little about.

Fascinating BooksThis collection of 7 Books was informative, it provided me with a very useful overview of the history and empires of the fertile crescent. From Mesopotamia to the Persian empire through the last 7 thousand years. It also provided a delightful insight into what the everyday lives of people would have been like throughout that time period. There is no Author cited on the Book and it lacks footnotes.However, I know quite a bit about this subject and it's fairly accurate although there is a bit of conjecture, and the Copy Writing is pretty bad (Two sentences connected that makes no sense, etc.It is a fun read, and if it had Citations and Sources it would be a good intro book for High School.

It is a fabulous set presenting the history of Mesopotamia.

This is a good book to fall asleep while reading.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I am an evangelist and love studying the Bible and this book gave me insight into the history around Abraham Daniel and Cyrus along with others that was in this time frame.I really enjoyed the book on the Babylonians. This was the first time I had read the Epic of Gilgamesh and I really enjoyed reading it.I will definitely buy more from Captivating History. Very informative
