As published the legs needed to be cleaned and sealed. I used mineral spirits to clean and Rustoleum Clear Matte spray to seal. Assembly was a bit of a challenge. Everything screwed in easily but not always even. It was a bit wobbly but once it was attached to the table top it was very sturdy. It has the look I wanted and would recommend the product 100%.

I had a piece of wood made for the top at a cost of $130, and after a lot of sanding and some oil based urethane, with this base, I have an incredibly solid and pleasing coffee table that’s also a conversation piece. Very pleased and you won’t be sorry.(One note, if you’re not the most handy, this won’t be tight in every area until you get it screwed to the table top. Get it as tight as you can, but don’t panic that it’s not all tight. Then make adjustments and screw it to the top to finish your table. Attachment to the top will lock the ends up nicely!)

Value for money. Basically you are paying someone to shop the pipe you would need for this product. Since you spend as much to do it yourself I like that someone did all the hard work for me; measuring and getting the proper pieces together.Will coat your hands during assembly with powder that is on the piping. Be careful when you put the legs on.. as ours started out a little wobbly. But lossening some pipes and tightening others we were able to get it level.

The media could not be loaded. Took me approx. 1 hour to assemble. You will be readjusting, twisting, untwisting to arrive at the correct positioning. I’ve used it on a live slab coffee table project. Love it. Love the steampunk, industrial feel. As advertised, good product.

Super happy with my DYI pipe table. Wasn’t please with delivery and missing part but Amazon corrected that and replaced everything. Easy to set up and adjust. I did change out four pipes to make it a bit taller , costly in the store . This is so worth the price and I think looks amazing.

4 out of 4 came in damaged boxes but only one was missing parts. How about a sturdier shipping box? Product is great, a totally cool look for my live edge tables.

I tried so many times to get these table bases put together. I called the company, Pipe Decor, and explained no matter how many times we took it apart and put it back together, we could not get the legs even. I wanted to return them. (I had bought 2 bases) they said, "You have to deal with Amazon". And the 30-day return had expired. Save yourself the time and money - and look elsewhere.

This was a very easy set of legs to put together. I like them a lot but the set that I got came with the 4 small pipe nipples threaded the wrong way. I had to go get some from a local hardware store to finish building the legs.
